The beginner banner hands new accounts a straight choice between three SSRs — Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli, Koichi Hirose, and Mohammed Avdol — and unlike most SSR pulls, you don’t have to gamble on the rate: you pick the one you keep.
Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli — take this one
Caesar is a Ranged basic-attack damage dealer who snowballs the longer a fight runs, and he stays relevant across nearly everything you’ll do: World Boss, story, and PvP alike. He carries fights on his own in the early game, when nothing else on your roster hits hard yet, and he doesn’t fade out later either — he’s still one of the strongest damage picks in the game once you’re deep into endgame content. For a first SSR, there isn’t a stronger all-round choice on this banner.
Koichi Hirose
Koichi is a real fighter, not a pure support: his Onomatopoeia field hits everything caught in it and locks enemies down with a repeatable Immobilize, so his AoE damage and PvP control both hold their own. Where he differs from Caesar is that a good chunk of his value comes from tagging a fast-attacking ally to amplify — he’s still strong solo, but he’s at his best as part of a squad built around that combo rather than as a standalone carry.
Mohammed Avdol
Avdol builds around damage spread across multiple targets over time — strong for World Boss layers, story waves, and any Burn-focused team. He’s fully playable straight out of the box and a real pick if you already know you want that kind of team, but he’s more situational than Caesar: his value depends on running the content and team shape he’s built for.
Bottom line
Take Caesar unless you already know you want Koichi’s AoE-and-lockdown control or Avdol’s Burn/multi-target damage for a specific team you’re planning. As a first SSR with no other investment behind it yet, Caesar carries the widest range of content and keeps paying off the longest.
