JoJo: Golden Spirit Beginner's Guide

What unlocks at which level, what to do every day, and where your first Astrogems go.

Account Level unlocks

Almost every mode in Golden Spirit is gated behind your account level, and most levels also require you to clear a specific story chapter. Push the main story between activities — it unlocks the things you actually want to be doing.

Daily checklist

Once you reach Account Lv.13, this is your full daily loop. Before then, work through it in the order it unlocks.

Daily Quest Available from start A rotating checklist of tasks you complete just by playing other modes. Hand-in for Astrogems, Coin, and EXP.
World Boss Account Lv.5 10 attempts per day, only your best score counts. Drops Challenge Coin for the Boss Store and the Stand fragments that scale your main DPS.
Arena Account Lv.6 5v5 auto-battle. Your defensive lineup syncs from the team builder. Wins pay Arena Token for the Arena Store.
Double Clash (SSS) Account Lv.13 Co-op for 1–3 players, 3 characters per player, each character locked to one run. Push the highest difficulty you can SSS — this is the main source of Spirit Realm materials.
Interview Trial Account Lv.3 Solo PvE gauntlet with daily clears. Hands you skill and ascension materials.
Extreme Trial Account Lv.4 (Lv.20 tier) Key-gated solo dungeon. Spend Extreme Trial Keys, clear up to your account-level tier (20 / 40 / 60).
Speedwagon Investigation Account Lv.4 Send characters on multi-hour expeditions. Set them off in the morning, collect resources and Collectible pieces when the timer ends, send again.
Guild Training Account Lv.7 Spend daily Training entries to grow your guild-wide stat pool. The bonus applies to every character you field.

Currencies you'll handle on day one

The full list lives on the Currencies reference. These are the ones you'll be earning and spending immediately:

  • Astrogem — Premium currency — recruitment pulls and paid packs.
  • Coin — Soft currency — character and gear upgrades.
  • Arena Token — Earned from Arena, spent in the Arena Store.
  • Challenge Coin — Earned from World Boss, spent in the Boss Store.
  • Character Shard — Dupe material — substitutes for pulling the same character again.
  • Ability Crystal — Raises Ability levels for the equipped Ability slot.
  • Skill Gem — Levels a character's Basic, Active, Ultimate, and Innate skills.

First pulls — Standard Character banner

Spend your starter Astrogems on the Standard Character banner first. It is permanent, every character on it is keepable, and the pity selectors mean you don't leave empty-handed.

  • SSR rate: 2%
  • SR rate: 35%
  • R rate: 63%
  • 60 pulls: random SSR guaranteed from the pool
  • 180 pulls: pick one SSR from the selector pool
  • 300 pulls: a second selector — your second pick from the SSR pool

The Standard Ability banner runs the same 2 / 35 / 63 rates with the same 60-pull random-SSR guarantee and a selector at 150 pulls. Pull here once you have a DPS you intend to build around — Abilities are what scale a character's damage past their base kit.

Limited / Featured banners work differently: 60 pulls guarantees the featured SSR character directly, not a random one. Save Astrogems for the featured banner of a unit you want to main — the 60-pull featured guarantee is the cleanest way to land a specific SSR.

Once you've cleared the early game

  1. Hit Account Lv.5 to open World Boss — Stand fragments live there.
  2. Hit Account Lv.6 for Arena. Build a defensive lineup as soon as you have one.
  3. Hit Account Lv.13 to open Double Clash and Spirit Realm. Spirit Realm is the next big power layer after stars and skills, and Double Clash is what feeds it.
